An Australian Framework for Landcare

 

  The Australian Framework for Landcare Reference Group is seeking feedback on the draft Australian Framework for Landcare. The submission period is currently open and will close on 30 July 2010.

The Framework has been drafted by the Australian Framework for Landcare Reference Group which is made up of Landcare community members. The reference group has been working to ensure that views expressed by the Landcare community during the extensive community consultation period are accurately reflected in the Framework document. Background

The background to the Australian Framework for Landcare is presented in the papers below, which include the initial conclusions reached by the Reference Group from the previous consultation workshops held last year.  Discussions took place at the National Landcare Forum, however those not able to attend can have a say by providing comments to landcareframework@nrm.gov.au by Friday, 9 April 2010.

Following this consultation period, the Reference Group plans to have a draft Framework for consideration by the Landcare community by mid May 2010 and to complete its work by 30 June 2010.  It is expected that the Australian Landcare Council would take responsibility for the completion of the Framework and arrange for its final approval by the Landcare community.
